Federal data access under Trump

Dear all,

Some colleagues in Environmental Sociology have been discussing the need to pre-emptively download federal datasets that may no longer be readily available after the Trump administration takes office. See also the efforts of climate scientists, detailed here:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/energy-environment/wp/2016/12/13/scientists-are-frantically-copying-u-s-climate-data-fearing-it-might-vanish-under-trump/

Are there planning-related datasets that may be at risk?

PS From a environmental sociology colleague, here are some helpful links to EPA data currently available for download:

EPA Smart Location Database

Adam,

You would perhaps know better than I, but is there any reason to believe the EPA's Smart Location Database would be removed?

Your guess is as good as mine as to whether the Smart Location Database might be removed. Much of the underlying data seems simple to download, so that would be a sensible precaution. - Adam
